Archdiocesan Annual Appeal

Sunday, January 17th, 2010 marked the beginning of the 22nd Catholic Archdiocesan Annual Appeal. The goal of our Archdiocese is $402,000 and our parish goal is $62,000. Last year, 314 of the faithful of our parish participated in the Appeal.

We are encouraging many more to become involved this year. Funds garnered from the Appeal assists the following programmes: the Archdiocesan Humanitarian Relief Fund, Archdiocesan Insurance Fund, Archdiocesan Pastoral Programmes, our Family Island parishes’ assistance, Benedictine Sisters Retirement Fund, Archdiocesan Communications, Disaster Relief Fund, the airing of E.W.T.N on local cable television and the continued formation of our Seminarians, Deacons and Clergy.

All members of our parish are encouraged to make a pledge. No gift is too big or too small.

Here’s How You Can Help…

We would be grateful to receive your entire gift at one time.  However, your gift in the form of a pledge will enable you to give more easily.

When you make a pledge you are asked for the first of four monthly payments.  The remainder will be billed through monthly statements.   The 2010 Appeal ends August 31, 2010.  Your parish volunteer will offer several gift plans.  We appreciate any gift plan which is proportionate to your budget, or any contribution that your needs permit.  With your help we will be able to fully address our archdiocesan needs.

Bahamian checks (or US Dollar checks drawn on local banks) should be made payable to “Catholic Archdiocesan Annual Appeal” and given to a CAAA volunteer, your Pastor, Parish Office, or the Annual Appeal Office.

For U.S. Tax Purposes: Please make checks drawn on U.S. Bank Accounts, payable to “Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Nassau Foundation Inc.”  The tax ID# is 11-379-8061.

For Canadian Tax Purposes: Please make checks payable to “Scarboro Foreign Mission Society”.

  2. Parking of Vehicles outside the eastern wall

Parishioners are reminded that it is an offense to park your vehicles outside the eastern wall of the Church's property.  When parked in this area, your vehicles cause the obstruction of traffic which can lead to a serious accident occurring at this junction.  Vehicles found parked in this no-parking area will be towed at the owners expense.
