The Day When Jesus Told the Weather What to Do
Matthew 8:18, 23-27, Mark 4:35-41, Luke 8:22-25

In the Bible, we learn about the Lord Jesus Christ. He was already God in heaven before He was born on this earth. He came down here to die for our sins so that we can believe in Him and go to heaven.

The Lord Jesus Christ did many miracles while He was here on the earth. He even told the weather what to do. The following true story is taken from the books of Matthew, Mark and Luke in the Holy Bible.

Here is how it started:

Now it came to pass on a certain day, that Jesus went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, "Let us go over unto the other side of the lake." And they launched forth into the sea.

As they sailed the sea,Jesus Calms The Storm Jesus went to the back of the ship and fell asleep on a pillow. Then there arose a great storm of wind that blew very hard. The waves beat into the ship and filled it with so much water that they were in jeopardy of drowning.

The disciples were scared to death. They knew that they needed Jesus because they were in trouble. They went to where Jesus was sleeping and woke Him up. They said, "Master, Master! We're perishing! Don't you care? Lord, save us."

Jesus said, "Why are ye so fearful, O ye of little faith?"

Then Jesus arose from His pillow and said to the raging sea, "Peace, be still."

Jesus, who is God, rebuked the wind and it ceased blowing the big waves. There was a great calm. No more storm. Jesus asked them, "Where is your faith?"

The disciples were afraid and said, "What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him." They marvelled that the weather listened to a man. They didn't realize until later that Jesus Christ is God who came to this earth in the flesh of a man.
